Blakeney’s signature Halloween event, Trick or Treat Street, returns!

The festivities kick off Saturday, October 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. for an afternoon of Halloween spirit in partnership with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. Families can explore vendor tables, chat with on-site safety advocates about safety during trick or treating season and enjoy free safety demonstrations. There’s more sweet news to share! Candy will be available at every table, while supplies last.

While parents rock out to music from a local DJ, kids can trick-or-treat their way through participating vendor booths and bounce out their sugar high through an inflatable obstacle course. All children are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes.

This free event is open to the public, so bring your family and friends for an afternoon of music, shopping and Halloween treats. Look out for special promotions at select Blakeney retailers and restaurants throughout the event.

Prior to Trick or Treat Street, families are invited to participate in the kid-friendly Big South 5K Road Race to raise money for middle-school athletic programs. The race starts at 8 a.m. at Blakeney Shopping Center. Find registration and sponsorship details online
